Overview

Over 30 years of research support the use of music and rhythm for walking rehabilitation. MedRhythms harnesses the proven clinical intervention of rhythmic auditory stimulation (RAS). MedRhythms Neurologic Music Therapists have performed over 75,000 hours of direct patient care. The primary intervention they use to improve walking is called rhythmic auditory stimulation (RAS). MedRhythms also delivers RAS via two use-at-home, FDA-authorized devices: InTandem®, for adults with chronic stroke, and MOVIVE™, for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD)

Let Music Guide Your Walking Rehab is a virtual Info Session on RAS. It is an opportunity to learn more about how music and rhythm power rehabilitation for individuals with neurological conditions.

During the 20-minute session, you can expect:

  • Expert Insights – Learn more about the science that enables music to support walking from Kirsten Smayda, PhD., an expert in neurologic function and the Medical Science Liaison for MedRhythms.
  • Scientific Basis – Understand the published research supporting RAS
  • Live Q&A
